Hand made mementos from Fellow Seabees...NMCB-74 made by EO Glen Wallin...pen holder, book ends, one-holer, and John's Angle all made by Senior Chief John Wilborn. The 'John's Angel' is a tribute to the Senior Chief's son who die a few years ago. He makes the 'Angels' and gives them to people who are experiencing a loss. Mine was given to me because we are friends. Thank you Senior Chief

  • Photo on the left is a photo of the Dong Ha Bridge which I worked on after being completed by NMCB-62 in 1969. Above the photo is a copy of the book "The Bridge at Dong Ha" which tells the story of it's destruction by Marine Captain John Ripley in 1972. Col. Ripley wrote almost 2 pages of tribute to Seabees. Next, to the right is a map of my AO-Quang Tri to Dong Ha to Qua Viet (with my Dog Tags and P-38). Next are 4 photos of the bridge over the Thach Han River at Quang Tri City-the French Bridge in 1968, the new bridge built by NMCB-10 in 1970, both bridges destroyed in 1972, and the present day bridge.
